Вышла новая версия дистрибутива SystemRescueCd, предназначенного для восстановления данных после краха системы. Эта система, основанная на Gentoo Live CD, выполнена на загрузочном диске и включает множество функций администрирования. С ее помощью можно создавать и редактировать разделы на жестком диске, запускать системные утилиты и т.д. Ядро дистрибутива поддерживает наиболее важные файловые системы: ext2/ext3, reiserfs, xfs, jfs, vfat, ntfs, iso9660, а также сетевые Samba и NFS.
В новой версии SystemRescueCD представлено ядро 2.6.15.6, исправлена серьезная ошибка, связанная с установкой с USB-стика, а также с FTP, до версии 1.12.1 обновлены ntfsprogs, скрипты Oscar, мануал.

SystemRescueCD 0.2.19В новой версии SystemRescueCD представлено ядро 2.6.16.10, появилась возможность загрузки с жесткого диска, обновлены скрипты Oscar, а также файл справки.

SystemRescueCD 0.3.4По-сути, SRC, это проект ориентированный прежде всего на работу с различными файловыми системами (перемещение, изменение размеров, backup данных, backup состояния разделов и проч. особенно интересно наличие ntfs-3g драйвера "из коробки"). Помимо этого в составе дистрибутива присутствуют программы для анализа сетевого трафика, работы с FTP и WWW (dillo и firefox).
Стоит отметить что дистрибутив не предназначен для старых машин -- он собран для компьютеров поддерживающих архитектуру i686 и выше. Обладателям более старых машин просят воспользоваться другими проектами, например DSL.

SystemRescueCd 0.3.6Вышла новая версия LiveCD на основе Gentoo для аварийного восстановления системы. CD размером 123 МБ содержит:
* Ядро 2.6.20 с поддержкой Reiser4
* LVM и EVMS
* X.Org 7.2 и WindowMaker
* Дисковые утилиты (parted, fdisk, partimage, dd-rescue)
* Утилиты для файловых систем (ext3, reiserfs, ntfs-3g, zfs, ...)
* Сетевые утилиты (samba, nfs, ssh, lftp, rdesktop, vnc)
* Firefox и Midnight Commander
Из приятного еще хочется отметить наличие firmware для ipw2200 "из коробки"
