Вышла новая версия музыкального проигрывателя Banshee для GNOME.

- улучшена функция импорта, вся разметка делается через taglib-sharp, улучшена поддержка метаданных ID3, AAC/MP4, добавлено чтение ASF/WMA, метаданные наконец-то можно (по выбору) писать напрямую в файлы, заметно улучшен сам редактор метаданных;
- новый интерфейс к записи CD -- диски можно создавать из любых источников (фонотеки, общего каталога, iPod);
- появились "умные" (динамические) списки воспроизведения, автоматически обновляющиеся при определённых изменениях в фонотеке, редактор этих списков позволяет создавать правила практически любой сложности;
- появилась функция оценки дорожек по пятибалльной (скорее даже пятизвёздочной ) системе одним щелчком мышью;
- переделан диалог параметров программы;
- появились всплывающие уведомления о смене дорожки.

Дополнительно можно скачать и установить расширения, среди которых:

- отображение рекомендаций похожих исполнителей (last.fm);
- прослушиваний подкастов;
- уменьшенная версия GUI;
- доступ к статьям Wikipedia об исполнителях;
- прочие полезности
