Добавлена альтернативная система сборки на основе CMake (в дополнение к autotools).
Поддержка MKV (Matroska) и FLV (Flash Video) на чтение (стабильно) и запись (бета-версия).
Экспериментальная поддержка элементарного потока MPEG-4 AVC (файлы .h264).
Поддержка DV как выходного формата.
Профили для конвертирования видео в форматы PSP (MPEG-4 AVC) и iPod (MPEG-4 SP).
Возможность не только распаковывать, но и упаковывать поток MPEG-4 ASP.
Поддержка звукового сервера JACK.
Восстановление после аварийного завершения.
