Приложение Rufus – это простая и совершенно бесплатная утилита ( GPL3) для операционной системы Windows, предназначенная для подготовки загрузочных USB-носителей на основе образов ISO.

Потребность в подобном инструменте возникает довольно часто. Возможно, вы уже сталкивались с необходимостью загрузки компьютера со специального диска (например, в случае вирусной атаки). В этом случае вам должно быть известно, что средства аварийного восстановления системы и другие похожие продукты чаще всего распространяются в виде образов ISO, которые перед использованием должны быть записаны на диск CD или DVD. Многие пользователи не доверяют компакт-дискам, предпочитая более производительные, надежные и устойчивые к внешним воздействиям USB-носители. Наконец, на вашем ПК может отсутствовать оптический привод, и в этом случае использование загрузочной «флэшки» является единственным выходом из ситуации.

Rufus не требует установки на жесткий диск и не пытается навязать вам ненужное дополнительное ПО, такое как бесплатные браузерные панели. Просто загрузите единственный исполняемый файл и запустите его. Перед вашими глазами окажется компактный интерфейс продукта с набором понятных опций. Если вам приходится создавать загрузочные носители на регулярной основе, вы без сомнения оцените высокую производительность приложения.

Rufus выбирает первый из обнаруженных на компьютере USB-дисков и автоматически устанавливает оптимальные настройки. Таким образом, в большинстве случаев задача владельца компьютера сводится к указанию нужного файла ISO и нажатию на кнопку «Start». Впрочем, опытные пользователи, привыкшие контролировать ситуацию, смогут самостоятельно изменить ряд параметров носителя, таких как файловая система, емкость, размер кластера и др.
