Вышла новая версия дистрибутива GoblinX. Это – live CD, созданный на основе Slackware Linux. Главная цель, которую преследовали его создатели, создать понятную и функциональную систему, работать с которой мог бы даже начинающий пользователь. В GoblinX много внимания уделено внешнему виду, а также выбору приложений.

Последний релиз системы содержит последние версии kernel 2.6.15, X.Org 6.8.2, KDE 3.4.2, XFce 4.2.2 и Firefox 1.5. Эта версия дистрибутива также включает Java и драйвера от ATI и NVIDIA.

The GoblinX Standard 2.0 (2007.1) is released. The GoblinX Standard edition formerly known simply as GoblinX, is our primary and oldest live CD. This release follows the Premium 2007.1 edition and starts the second generation of the distribution. All new features and upgrades prepared for the Premium edition are included, including a new functional Magic Center which works with Xfce and all graphical user interfaces. In comparison with Premium released in the end of last month, this edition adds 'probesata' cheatcode and SATA modules support to initrd and also corrects a small error in the GoblinX installer.

GoblinX 2.6 is released. GoblinX Standard is the original edition which was first released in October 2004. It includes five windows managers: KDE, Fluxbox, Xfce, Enlightenment and WindowMaker. The main upgrades since release candidate 1: Added SLAX firewall; added more options to Isolinux menu; rebuilt GtkDialog interfaces to prevent resize action; corrected several errors and bugs; corrected Kill button in media manager interfaces; upgraded some libraries and packages, including xorg-server; corrected some sudo issues; removed X.Org default resolution; removed some libraries; added more services to boot; added more auto-start options; corrected Ivman issues.
